Setting Up Formation Online Registration

Building a Custom Online Registration Form

Camino is happy to introduce a custom form editor for your Formation Registrations. No more expensive third party form builders and separate links. You can now build the report that you need and use as much Camino Life integration as desired.

Start with Registration Details
The Registration Details sub-tab still handles the basics: Allow Online Registration, a Disable toggle for pausing it temporarily without losing your settings, and the registration date range and hours.
Registration Details with the base toggles — Web Payments not yet enabled.
Checking Allow Web Payments reveals Require payment to register along with Web Payment Provider, Fund, and Activity so payment only gets configured when a class actually needs it. When this is selected if you have a Web Payment provider already set up it will be available to select as well as the fund and activity locations you want to pull the payments into.

You will have the option to require payment to register as well. This will not let a registration be submitted with out payment being submitted first. If this isn't checked the registrant will have the option to submit their registration with or without payment.
Web Payments enabled, with Require payment to register, Fund, and Activity set.

Open the Form Builder

Switch to the Registration Form sub-tab and the real editor appears: a live preview of the form on the left, and two panels on the right. Camino Member Assets are pre-built fields tied to actual member data — drop one in and it doesn't just add a text box, it builds out a whole structured section depending on the field. Standard Controls are blank building blocks — text fields, dropdowns, dates, currency, consent agreements — for anything that isn't already a Camino field that you need to collect for your registration.
The Registration Form builder — Member Information and Baptism sections already in place.

Example: Dragging First Communion in from Camino Member Assets, for example, builds an entire section, the received-or-not question, date, church name, and full church address, in one drop.

Configure Any Field
Click a field and the Properties panel opens on the right. Every field gets a Label, an optional Tooltip, and a Width (how much of the row it takes up). Consent Agreement fields go further, with a full rich-text editor for the exact consent language families will read and agree to before registering.

Show Fields Conditionally
Show Conditionally is where the builder gets genuinely powerful. Turn it on for any field and set a rule — Show only if [another field] Is Equal To [value] — and that field only appears when the condition is met.
A Shirt Size dropdown set to appear only if 'Want a Shirt' is answered Yes.
In this example, a Want a Shirt dropdown sits on the form normally, but the Shirt Size dropdown next to it stays hidden until someone actually selects Yes — so families who don't want a shirt never see a pointless size question.

Preview Exactly What Families See

The screen/mobile icons above the builder switch between desktop and mobile previews, and clicking into the form opens the full Class Information view — everything a family sees before they even start filling anything out: dates, times, location, cost, course description, then Student Information and every section you've built, in order.
The live preview — exactly what a family sees when they open the registration link.
Scroll to the bottom of the preview and the Cost section shows a Discount Code field, the Grand Total, a Comments box, and the final Pay Now / Register buttons — the very end of the family's registration experience.
