Early-bird pricing, sibling discounts, scholarship codes, a class that's simply free to for Clergy: Camino handles all of it through one Discounts screen. A discount is built once and can be attached to as many classes as you like. Here's how it works.
Discount Code is the short identifier — think EARLYBIRD or FREEREG — and Discount Description is the plain-language explanation families and staff will actually read. Enabled is checked by default; leave it that way for now. If you ever need to disable a code but don't want to delete it, this can be unchecked at anytime.
Set the Type, Amount, and Window
Discount Type is either Percent or Amount. Percent takes a whole number (10 for 10% off), Amount takes a flat dollar figure. Start Date and End Date are optional — set them for something time-limited like an early registration window, or leave both blank for a discount that's always available while enabled.
Flat-dollar discounts work the same way, just with Discount Type set to Amount instead. A $10 off code, for example, subtracts a fixed amount regardless of what the class costs. A new discount being named
Choose Which Classes It Applies To
Below the discount details, Available Classes lists every class in the system. Check the ones this discount should apply to — or check the header box to select them all — and click Add to move them into Classes Using This Discount. A discount with no classes attached won't show up anywhere for families to use.Class Application Section Turn a Discount Off Without Deleting It
Plans change — a promo code ends, a scholarship fund runs dry. Rather than deleting a discount outright, uncheck Enabled on its detail page and Save. It stays in your records with its full history, just inactive. The Discounts list shows enabled and disabled discounts side by side, so it's always clear what's currently live.
Every discount tied to a class also shows up right on that class's Formation Class tab, in its own Discounts panel — code, type, amount, and dates, all in one place, with a checkbox to enable or disable it for that class specifically. Discounts shown in the Class Details Screen
